8th Grade Assignments for the week of 6/1: Use your time this week to work on missing assignments. Reminder: If you complete late TCI work, you have to email me to tell me which sections you have completed so I can grade it. I do not receive a notification when you complete missing work. If you have completed all of TCI Chapter 26 & 27, and the WWI Extended Response then you don't have an assignment to complete this week.
7th Grade Assignments for the week of 6/1: Read and complete TCI Chapter 9 Sections 2-5.
8th Grade Assignments for the week of 5/26: Write a 3 paragraph extended response answering the question: Did the United States make the correct, or incorrect, decision by becoming involved in World War I? Each paragraph should resemble a DBQ body paragraph, with a specific claim, context of the evidence, a specific quote from the one of the sources provided to you, and analysis in your own words describing how the evidence supports your claim. In the third paragraph you should introduce a counterclaim from the opposing side of the debate, and analyze why this evidence is not enough to convince you of the opposing argument. Share a google document with your response by Monday 6/1.

8th Grade Assignments for the week of 4/27: Complete TCI Chapter 26 Sections 4-10. These sections are very short, most are only 5-6 short paragraphs, and you need to answer similar questions in each section. Make sure they are finished by the end of the week so we can wrap up the Chapter on time.
7th Grade Assignments for the week of 4/27: Complete TCI Chapter 7 Sections 7-8, and Chapter 8 Section Geography Challenge. The Geography has 12 questions and directions for labeling the map. Use the 3 maps at the top of the section to correctly label your map. Leave yourself a good amount of time to finish this part of the assignment.

3/15 Update: This is where I will update work for students for the next couple weeks while school remains closed. These are not homework or graded assignments, but review and enrichment opportunities. NewsELA (newsela.com) and ICivics (icivics.org) have a number of free resources to support student learning (particularly reading and writing skills) during this time, and also keep them up to date on valuable Constitution content.
