Required Elements for DBQ Essays
*Set up your evidence: Explain the who, what, where, when, and why of the Quote you will use. Never refer to a Document by its number.
*A specific quote from a primary source document.
*At least 2 sentences of analysis. Explain what the quote is saying, and connect it to your thesis. (Explain how this evidence proves your thesis is correct.)
- Five Paragraphs (Introduction, 3 Body Paragraphs, Conclusion)
- Introduction must include a few sentences of Historical background, and a clear Thesis statement that is the final sentence of your Intro, and includes all 3 reasons of support you will be discussing.
- All Body Paragraphs Must Contain:
